Oh, wow, that was... *shudders*. The picture you painted of what might've been gave me the creeps! It also makes for an intriguing explanation of how Mary came to recognize Azazel in Sam's vision/dream. And I loved how, despite all the evil, there's still enough of "our" Sam left that he's willing to go against Azazel's wishes and send his mother back in the hopes of a different future. I enjoyed this a lot! Thanks for sharing.
